Web service interface

The BIRD database is accessible through our web API, which powers the navigator on this website, and is available on the domain “api.banks-integrated-reporting-dictionary.eu”.

How does it work?
The API is an interface to a database.
API requests will be translated to appropriate database queries. For example:

api.banks-integrated-reporting-dictionary.eu/CUBE?FRAMEWORK_ID=BIRD

is the API equivalent of

SELECT * FROM CUBE WHERE FRAMEWORK_ID=BIRD

The server response is a JSON file with an array of entries similar to the following example:

[{
  "CODE": "CNTRY",
  "CUBE_ID": "BIRD_CNTRY_2",
  "CUBE_STRUCTURE_ID": "BIRD_CNTRY_2",
  "CUBE_TYPE": "IL",
  "DESCRIPTION": "It contains reference information for countries.\
     All countries used in input cubes must be registered in this cube.",
  "FRAMEWORK_ID": "BIRD",
  "IS_ALLOWED": "False",
  "MAINTENANCE_AGENCY_ID": "ECB",
  "NAME": "Countries reference information",
  "PUBLISHED": "False",
